WHERE DO WE MEET?
We will be leaving from Sunset Cay Marina at Folly Beach. The address is:
66th 9th St. W., Folly Beach, SC 29439
Departing from other locations in the Folly Beach/Charleston area can be arranged with the captain.
CAN WE KEEP FISH?
We are happy to keep enough fish for dinner, as long as the catch is within regulations and the captain decides the catch can be sustainably kept. We do not practice “fill the freezer” fishing. We will release some fish that may be within regulations but are individuals that we want to remain in the population (ie. larger female sea trout, flounder, and sheepshead over 20″) The captain will clean or filet any fish kept.
What is the cancellation policy?
If trip is cancelled by client 7 days before or prior, deposit is refunded. If less than 7 days until charter, client is charged 50% of charter booked. If within 48 hours of the charter or failure to arrive at the scheduled charter, client is charged 100% of charter booked.
For all ocean bookings: if the sea state is too rough for safe or comfortable fishing on the day of the trip, the booking becomes an inshore fishing trip.
What if there is bad weather?
Weather cancellations are at the discretion of the captain. Deposits will be refunded if weather forces the cancellation of a trip.
For all ocean bookings: if the sea state is too rough for safe or comfortable fishing on the day of the trip, the booking becomes an inshore fishing trip.
Is tipping necessary?
Tipping is much appreciated. A majority of our guests tip the captain for providing a pleasant outing. Normal tips are 15-20% of the trip’s total cost.
